We’ve got something worth celebrating at JKFL: Sarah has completed her studies and is now a qualified financial adviser! 🎉
Many of our clients will already know Sarah from her work in lending support, helping keep applications moving behind the scenes. She’s been balancing that role with her studies, and we’re proud to see her hard work pay off.
Sarah is now beginning the bank accreditation process—the next step towards getting up and running as a mortgage adviser. It won’t be long before she’s putting her knowledge and experience to work with clients of her own.
Based in Woodville, Sarah is especially excited to help people across Tararua with their mortgage needs. From buying a first home to planning a move or reviewing an existing loan, she’s looking forward to helping locals explore their options and take their next steps with confidence.
Get to know Sarah
You may already know the person behind the emails—now here’s a chance to get to know her a little better!
What inspired you to become a financial adviser?
It started with an episode of the Keep the Change podcast and a conversation with my husband. I realised good advice can make a huge difference to a family’s future, and I wanted to be the person who helps make that happen.
What has working in lending support taught you about making the mortgage process easier for clients?
Since beginning with JKFL in 2025, I’ve seen how overwhelming the process can feel from the outside. The biggest lesson is that people need someone in their corner. I’m your advocate: I do the legwork, explain things in plain language, and fight for the best possible outcome for you.
What would you say to someone who’s nervous about taking that first step towards buying a home?
Honestly, that’s completely normal, and you’re not alone. We’re very relaxed at JKFL. Our job is to give you the knowledge, tools and connections to take the stress away. I’m happy to hold your hand through as much or as little of it as you’d like, and there’s never a silly question.
What do you love about living in Woodville, and what are you looking forward to about helping people across Tararua?
I love the community feel of small-town life. I get to walk my kids to their bus each morning and catch up with the locals along the way. That’s what I want to bring to my work too: being a familiar, friendly face people can trust. I’m looking forward to helping families across Tararua into homes in the communities they love.
When you close the laptop for the day, where are we most likely to find you?
Most likely working as the kids professional taxi driver, ferrying the kids to dance or any other activities. Otherwise you’ll find us having a family gaming session, or me in the kitchen. I love cooking and feeding my family!
Please join us in congratulating Sarah on this exciting milestone. We’re delighted to have her taking this next step with JKFL.
Tararua, watch this space—Sarah will be ready for you soon!
